Paul Morrison
Morrison was born in Liverpool, England in 1966. He still lives and works there today. His main central ideas that he uses in his work is a main focal point that stands out from the back ground. For example in this image he uses a flower and trees as the upscaled objects and then theres the background of the mountain and scenery which has been distanced from the main objects which helps the flower and trees look larger. He also upscales his work on large walls and other materials to give his work his own distinctive style. The thing that appeals to me is the way he balances the black and white and lines in his work and i like that he has his own style. Morrison bases most of his work on nature but makes the colour black and white while also adding a focal point to make his work scaled out in a different way. With most of his work he uses Acrylic Paint on walls or on linen. His work reminds me of lino prints and stencils because of the way he has set out his work with a lot of bold and small lines.
